Gaming Companies Are Now Looking For Paid Video Game Testers

So you are meeting around the house playing video games. What if you could really get paid to play new video games that have not hit the market yet? Companies are now looking for console game testers for their newly developed games and are keen to pay for the time. Most people reckon this does not really happen but for a large console gaming company, who else better to test their games and work out all the bugs then actual gamers?

Over 50 companies are now looking for paid testers. These companies are not only in the US but also worldwide. Why would a video game company pay someone to test their games? If a company releases a new game but find out on a particular level the game freezes, or you can walk through a particular wall, or just minor glitches that were missed by the developers then that is a huge deal. If the game is a pad game, the company can just release a quick patch but if it is a video game they cannot so they have to make sure the game is in 100% tip top shape before releasing it. The game diligence is over a $50 billion business now days, they want perfect harvest which require dynamic hard.

The thing is though where do you find such opportunities? You cannot just open up the newspaper and see in the job ads a video game tester. These are ordinarily filled up promptly but as new companies join the market and also small companies growing and needing more testers, the opportunity is still there. Google search for game testers and you will find several ways to break into this market but normally the best way is to contact video game companies directly, and flat out question them if they are looking for paid gaming testers and if so how you can apply. You may be surprised by what you find.
